The story tells of two Omatikaya boys on the brink of manhood, who fearlessly set out to save the Sacred Tree of Souls when a natural catastrophe threatens its existence. When they learn that only Toruk can assist them in saving the Tree of Souls, they embark on a quest high up in the Floating Mountains in search of the mighty red predator.
