We love a good gin here at Scene in Perth, and we can’t go past what our beautiful state has to offer up! So with our further ado, here’s our top picks for best locally distilled gins!
Giniversity Gin – Margaret River
The flavours of Australia are throughout these beauties, and we can’t go past Giniversity’s Australian Native Gin, which they describe as the essence of the South West. With botanicals such as Emu Plum, Geraldton Wax and Lemon Myrtle in the bottle, this is one gin you won’t want to go past.
Tattarang Springs – Darling Scarp
This small batch distillery hails from the southern tip of Western Australia’s Darling Scarp, and the bush location shines through in their gins! Tattarang Spring’s Australian Botanical Gin feature dark red marri gums as their signature ingredient, as well as wild aniseed, lavender and bush lemons. Gin me up, Scotty!
Sin Gin Distillery – Perth City
Return to the city for this baby, because Sin Gin Distillery is located in the heart of our beautiful capital city. These gins are full of local and international botanicals, and as the name suggests, there are seven gins for the Seven Deadly Sins Range, plus others to tickle your fancy. We definitely plan to get naughty this spring with the Seven Deadly Sins range 😉
The West Winds – Leederville
While this refreshing gin is distilled in Margaret River, the place to check out the West Wind’s range is at their bar in Leederville, located within Bill’s Bar and Bites. Plus, sign up for a gin masterclass to go on a gin-tactic journey of cocktails and gin craft. Our personal fave? The Broadside Navy Strength! Go big or go home, we say!
Swan Valley Gin Co – Swan Valley
We’ve always wondered why people grow cumquats and now we know! Because they make a damn good gin!! Swan Valley Gin Co has a spiced cumquat gin and it’s all you could hope for and more! Perfect for those spring afternoons – get into the valley and grab a bottle!
Spirit of Little Things Gin – Perth / Western Suburbs
