Hotdogs have certainly evolved of late, and the offerings and flavour combos just keep getting better and better. One of the newest gourmet hotdog outlets has emerged at Hillary’s Boat Harbour, and everyone is going nuts over their menu. Offering everything from Nutella loaded fries (yep… you read that correctly) to a Mac and Cheese Dog, their pickings are set to satiate any appetite and foodie.

We first came across Frankly My Dog through Scoopon. We were sat scrolling through
endless photos of boring meals when suddenly the most amazing hotdogs in the world popped up. We could not believe our eyes! We hopped onto Instagram (of course!) to
confirm that such magical creations exist. And YES they really do!
Now you ask.. did we immediately get in our cars and drive to Frankly My Dog? Well it was
tempting but no, sadly it was late at night and we are those type of people who try and plan our meals before we go (otherwise we end up taking hours to pick and end up arguing over not being able to pick.. you know normal couple things #couplegoals am I right?!).
So, we pulled up their menu and were like kids in a candy store, but instead we were two
adults preparing for a sausage store (doesn’t quite have such a nice ring to it!). After 30
minutes of debating between hotdogs we had finally made our decision (I know, sad right?!
Don’t we have anything better to do on a Saturday night!).

The next morning we sprung out of bed (joking.. more like rolled.. and did we say morning.. we meant midday), hopped in the car and headed to Frankly My Dog. Upon arriving at Hillarys we power walked to the store, desperate to finally get our hotdog feed. The store itself has character and is located at the picture perfect Hillarys Boat Harbour. We had the Cheat Day Dog and the Mac and Cheese Dog. The Cheat Day Dog was PACKED full of flavour, the perfect combo of sausage and salad with a drizzle of mustard and ketchup. The Mac and Cheese Dog was DELICIOUS, two amazing dishes paired as one. Don’t even get us started on the buns, they were heavenly. Both hotdogs were a mouthful and it is safe to say that they’re messy to eat so make sure to grab extra napkins!
Frankly My Dog is DEFINITELY worth visiting. We know for sure that we will be back (especially as they have just released Nutella Fries)! How can you go wrong with a delicious gourmet hotdog by the water. Perfect for families, kids and couples, with SO many menu options there is something for everyone.
