Mary Street Bakery opens Claremont store

Everyone’s favourite family-owned cafe Mary Street Bakery has opened their sixth location, bringing their famous bakery delights and delicous coffee to Claremont.

Over the past seven years, owners Michael Forde and Paul Aron have opened five MSB cafes (Highgate, West Leederville, QV1, Allendale Square and City Beach), all of which secured themselves as neighbourhood establishments. Now it’s time to spread the MSB cheer even further with another location.

Mary Street Bakery Claremont has the same recognisable homely, timber vibe as the other venues but with long windows opening up the space allowing light to shine on the many plants that adorn the space. Aron and Forde used CTS construction for the 70-seat cafe (30 seats inside, 40 outside) fitout with WA furniture designers Remington Matters designing
some bespoke pieces for the space.

The western suburbs cafe has everything MSB does so well — drool-worthy donuts and pastries, artisan breads, salads and toasted sandwiches, consistently great coffee roasted at Offshoot Coffee, and an à la carte menu with the brunch standouts we all know and love.

But like every other MSB location, the Claremont cafe has its own tailored menu to reflect the tastes of the neighbourhood. Chef Pierce Clothier (Le Rebelle) launches the menu with handmade gnocchi, an omelette freighting house-smoked salmon and house-made Portuguese-style sausages…..YUM!
