Donut. Doughnut. No matter how you spell it, donuts are everywhere. And why not? They’re the perfect way to start, finish or survive the day. Who doesn’t love indulging in a delicious donut delight every now and then?
Over the past few years, the donut game has upped the ante here in Perth and these delicious treats have really become extremely competitive of late, with pop-up stores, markets or entire shops dedicated to creating these gourmet, artistic and delicious, soft pillows of goodness and happiness.
So the question must be asked: where do we find the best of the best donut delights in the Perth Scene? Well, we’ve asked our donut-loving insta-foodie extraordinaires from @eatdonuts to share with us their 10 favourite recommendations on places in Perth for us all to check out.

Vegan, egg free and dairy free donuts… Whaaattt?? I know, right?! And they taste damn good too! These delightful treats are made with wholesome, natural ingredients and get a massive tick of approval for some must try donuts! Carina also creates beautiful cakes and sweets – all made to order. You can find her delights at the Growers Green Farmers Market every Sunday in South Fremantle, City Farm as well as other festivals and markets around Perth.

Italian bomboloni (donuts) delivered to your door? Ummm, yes please! Every Thursday – Sunday you can order a box of these delights to come straight to your front door – and they’ll customize the boxes as well. You can also order donut bouquets. They’ve thought of everything! You can find their delights at: Fremantle Markets Fri-Sun, TGIF markets in Vic Park or the Homegrown Markets every Sunday in the Murray St Mall.
MOP (made on premise) donuts | @mopdonuts
Donuts + alcohol = marvelous MOP creations! Located in the CBD and Leederville, their donuts are made fresh daily. These donuts are a must eat, so go check out their large and amazing selection of flavours. If you head to the Leedy store, you’ll find a full menu on offer where you can pig out on donut burgers and shakes. Thumbs up to their coffee too! They have non-alcoholic options available also.
Top Dup Donuts | @topdupdonuts
From humble beginnings selling coffee at Murdoch and Kyilla Markets, Top Dup has grown into one of Perth’s best-selling donut creators. You can find them either in their Willagee store or enex 100 in the CBD as well as occasional pop up markets. Their delectable flavour combinations make them a definite stop on your donut adventures.
Cup and Co | @cupandcocafe
You’re sure to be amazed with the cronut creations coming out of the Cup and Co kitchen. Each weekend they’ll blow your socks off with new delicious cronut flavours. Available every Friday – Sunday. Get your hands on one of their ever-changing flavours!
Mary Street Bakery | @mary_street_bakery
This Beaufort St babe can’t be ignored or forgotten! Mary Street’s donuts are big, inexpensive and full of flavour. It is hard to stop at just one favourite. They smash out new limited edition flavours every week or so. Definitely stop in for a take away coffee and a donut (or two), you won’t regret it! They also have a store in West Leedy.

#1 in our @eatdonuts hottest 5 donuts of 2016, we can’t leave this place out of our top 10 faves. They have a nice variety of donut flavours and occasionally whip out a few bacon flavoured monsters which are sure to make the mouth salivate. When in the CBD strolling down Hay St, make sure you pop in pick up a box of donuts. Grab one for me too, please!

Traditional Italian bomboloni with the recipe coming all the way from Italy. The friendly staff will tell you to be quick to get your bomboloni, which are available every Sunday, as they sell out super-fast! Not only will you taste delightful, fresh donuts… but you’ll feel like you’ve had a quick trip to Italy when you visit.

Nutella inside mini donut balls. What more do you need in life? Paired with a chocolate dipping sauce and you’re onto a real winner. Located in Carousel, Leederville and Nedlands these little delights are perfect to share or to eat all on your own. But let’s be real, who’s gonna share? I know I sure as heck didn’t.

I have been fed by Cate and man it was gooooood! The doughies are handmade so they’re as fresh as the Prince of Bel Air. You can find her delights at Palmyra Farmers Market, Cheeky Boy Espresso and other locations south of the river. Go get fed by Cate!
